Ages 5-10yrs

The aim of the Foundations is firstly to expose you to the 9 fundamental movements used in CrossFit and to work on your skill development.

It's also a great opportunity to build up your fitness with each session structured to cover not only skill development but also strength, endurance, mobility and more.

We will prepare you to enter the CrossFit classes knowing that you can confidently carry out the movement safely, confidently and efficiently.  

The 9 fundamental movements of CrossFit are:

  1. The Squat
  2. The Front Squat
  3. The Overhead Squat
  4. The Press
  5. The Push Press
  6. The Push Jerk
  7. The Sumo Deadlift High     Pull
  8. The Deadlift
  9. The Medicine Ball Clean

These are just the basic movements; we will also be teaching you Kettlebell skills for conditioning, gymnastic skills for mid-line stability, Olympic lifts the clean, clean and jerk and the snatch. Plyometric skills like box jumping, jump rope work. All these and many more will be covered in the Foundations.

What to expect

Ages 9-12yrs

The Foundations programme is performed in 3 x 60 Minute 1:1 Personal training sessions with a CrossFit coach plus 2 weeks of CrossFit Full class membership once you are ready.

  • Plus 2 week of complimentary CrossFit Full membership

This will allow you to get a much better understanding of the movements and of your individual capabilities prior to coming to class

In each session, a coach will teach and demonstrate the foundational movements we use in CrossFit, as well as review your range of motion and various scales to get you moving safely. Following the instruction portion of the class, you will participate in a CrossFit-style workout

Once you are competent in the movements we use daily in CrossFit you may graduate to our regular CrossFit classes and get the full CrossFit experience!

Prerequisite

Ages 11-18yrs
  • Please make sure you book in for your no sweat consultation prior to your first Foundations session
  • Plus 2 week of complimentary CrossFit Full membership

Already have CrossFit experience?

If you have already been performing CrossFit at an affiliate for at least 6 months then you can join via our:

WELCOME TO CROSSFIT CHILTERN PROGRAMME
  • This is a chance to either brush up on or just improve your skills. It consists of 2x 60 minute 1:1 sessions with a coach followed by 2 weeks of our CrossFit Full membership.
  • During the 60 minute sessions you will work on some Olympic lifting and gymnastics and complete a Metcon.
  • This is for people with at least 6 months previous CrossFit experience at an affiliate.

Coming from Amersham as you turn onto Grimsdell lane we are located at Reed Industrial estate approximately 500m down the road turn left when you see the Red post box. From Little Chalfont side, drive down Plantation Road until you pass Green lane. We are the next right turn into the Reed Industrial estate. Car Parking available on site.
